Ingredients

Marinade

  • ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • ¼ Cup Chopped Ginger Root Peeled
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flake

Asian Zing Wing Sauce

  • 2 Cups Ketchup
  • 1 Red Chili Pepper Diced
  • ½ Cup Diced Ginger Root Peeled
  • ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Hot Sauce / Siracha Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Red Pepper Flake

Wings

  • 2-3 lbs Chicken Wing Sections Drumettes and Flats
  • Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Bunch Chopped Scallions

Instructions

  • Pre-heat pellet grill to 250F

Marinade Chicken

  • In a mixing bowl mix Soy Sauce, Garlic, Ginger, Red Pepper Flake and Sesame Oil
  • Pour Marinade into a sealable bag and add wing sections
  • Place marinade and chicken bag into refrigerator and marinade for an hour or more

Cooking the Wings

  • Remove the wing sections from the marinade and pat dry with a paper towel
  • Place the wings on the preheated grill and cook for 35-45 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temp of 165F
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and set aside

Asian Zing Wing Sauce

  • In a saucepan add ketchup, garlic, diced ginger root, diced chili pepper, red pepper flake, onion powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  • Bring sauce to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes until sauce is reduced, stirring frequently to prevent sauce from burning

Finish Asian Zing Wings

  • When wings are to temperature and sauce is finished, spin wings in a bowl with sauce, completely coating all parts of the wings
  • Return sauced wings to a hot grill for 10 minutes
  • Remove wings and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions
  • Serve with your choice of dipping sauce and fries
