Ingredients

Caramelized Onions

  • 1 Red Onion
  • 3 Tbsp Butter

Burger Sliders

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Ancho Chili Coffee Rub
  • 4 Slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Jar Dill Pickle Slices Hamburger Slices

Special Sauce

  • Cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ Cup Ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Ancho Chili Coffee Rub
  • 1 tsp Liquid Smoke

Instructions

Caramelized Onions

  • Slice red onion into thin slices.
  • In a pre-heated pan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté red onion slices
  • Cook until the sugars in the onion slices begin to caramelize (roughly 20-30 minutes)

Slider Burgers

  • In a mixing bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ancho chili coffee rub
  • In another mixing bowl, mix ground beef with half the seasoning
  • Form ground beef into golf ball size balls
  • Smash balls into patties and season both sides with remaining seasoning
  • Pre-heat grill to 375F
  • Place formed patties onto the hot grill
  • Cook to your liking (15-25 minutes)
  • Place cheese slices over cooked burgers and allow to melt on the grill top

Special Sauce

  • In a 3rd mixing bowl, combine mayo, ketchup, mustard, liquid smoke, and rub seasoning

Cheeseburger Slider Assembly

  • Place cooked sliders onto sliced Hawaiian rolls
  • Put cooked onions onto melted cheese
  • Place two pickle slices onto cooked onions
  • Smother top of bun with special sauce
  • Place top bun on pickles and serve with your favorite side
