Instructions
Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl open and dump one bag frozen hashbrowns
Add sour cream, cream of chicken, cheddar cheese
Add salt, pepper and garlic powder
Fold together and create a blend of cheese and potatoes
Prep the Dish
Grease a 9x13 pan with spray or butter (I prefer butter to add more flavor to the mixture)
Spread potato mixture evenly into pan
Press potato mixture down to flatten top of surface
Prep the crust
In a small bowl melt 1/2 stick butter
Mix cornflakes with melted butter to coat the cereal
Spread on top of the potato mixture in the 9x13 pan
Bake the cheesy potato mixture
Place into a preheated 400F oven
Bake for 35-40 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes
Scoop out a serving and enjoy on a plate as a side with your favorite meal.
