Easy Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Spicy buffalo chicken sliders with a cool blue cheese sauce drizzled over the top.

Equipment

  • 1 Slow Cooker
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 8-10 Slider Rolls
  • 8-10 Hamburger pickle slices optional

Buffalo Chicken

  • 2 lbs boneless/skinless chicken thighs thawed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp dry ground mustard
  • ½ Cup Frank's Red Hot sauce
  • Cup Honey Locally sourced is best

Blue Cheese Sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ Cup blue cheese crumbles

Instructions

  • Mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dry ground mustard in a bowl
  • Coat both sides of chicken thighs with seasoning
  • Place seasoned chicken into slow cooker
  • Add 1/2 cup Frank's Red Hot sauce
  • Add 1/3 cup honey (locally sourced is best)
  • Cook on high for 3 hours (Or set to low for 8 hours)
  • Once chicken is done cooking use two forks to shred and stir with remaining liquid in slow cooker

Blue Cheese Sauce

  • In a large mixing bowl add mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, parsley, and blue cheese crumbles
  • Add lemon juice, garlic powder, or blue cheese to taste

Slider Construction

  • After the chicken has been cooked and shredded, cut rolls into halves
  • Fill roll with shredded chicken
  • Place pickle on shredded meat (optional)
  • Drizzle with blue cheese sauce

Notes

Control the heat by adding or subtracting as much sauce as you'd like.  Also add more honey to minimize the heat.
Cheese slices are a great add for these gameday goodies.
