Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

The most decadent homemade vanilla ice cream -sweetened with pure maple syrup- will be loved by all. Eaten as is or topped with your favorite toppings, it will satisfy any sweet tooth!

Equipment

  • Ice Cream Maker
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ½ cup Pure Maple Syrup
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ tsp Himalayan Pink Salt

Instructions

  • Put ice cream maker bowl into freezer 16-24 hours ahead of time.
  • Measure and whisk all ingredients together in mixing bowl.
  • Pour into the frozen bowl of the ice cream maker.
  • Turn on immediately. Churn ice cream for approximately 30 minutes. Follow manufacturers directions for your ice cream maker.
  • Transfer into glass Pyrex air tight container.
  • Put in the freezer for 2-3 hours for a more scoopable ice cream.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

-Ice cream can be eaten without extra freezer time, but it will be more of a soft serve type of ice cream.
-Get creative with toppings or add-ins. So many options!
-We like to store in glass Pyrex containers IF there are leftovers.
-If ice cream leftovers have been in the freezer for an extended amount of time you will need to defrost before being able to scoop it out.
