Roasted Honeynut Squash

Equipment

  • 1 Roasting Pan

Ingredients

  • 1 Honeynut Squash
  • 4 Tbsp Butter Split into two groups
  • 2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Ground Clove
  • ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 4 Tbsp Maple Syrup Organic Preferred

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400F
  • Slice squash lengthwise to split in half
    1 Honeynut Squash
  • Using serving spoon, remove seeds from interior of cavity of squash
  • Place 2 Tbsp butter in each cavity
    4 Tbsp Butter

Fall Season Blend

  • In a mixing bowl mix cinnamon, salt, pepper, clove and nutmeg
    2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon, 1 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Black Pepper, 1/2 tsp Ground Clove, 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • Sprinkle spice mixture over halved squash
  • Bake on baking sheet for 40 minutes
  • Squash is done when fork tender
  • Drizzle maple syrup over cooked squash
    4 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Remove flesh from skin and mix all together in a bowl
  • Serve hot
