Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Baking sheet pan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 85/15 or 80/20
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Pepper Flake
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Dried Breadcrumbs Italian or Panko

Marinara Sauce

  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Basil
  • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400F
  • In a mixing bowl, add ground beef, ground pork
  • Add salt, pepper, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, chili flake, and parmesan cheese to meat
  • Add 2 eggs and breadcrumbs
  • Mix by hand meat, seasonings, eggs, cheese, and breadcrumbs until completely mixed
  • Roll golf ball size balls and place on a greased baking sheet
  • Place sheet into oven and bake for 40 minutes

Marinara Sauce

  • While meatballs are baking, dice onion and garlic
  • Sauté garlic and onion until translucent
  • Add crushed tomatoes, red wine vinegar, and herbs
  • Let simmer on a medium heat for 40 minutes
  • Place meatballs into sauce bath after removing from the oven
  • Serve with noodles or vegetables
